Is Hartwood Acres good for family photos?
It's the crown jewel — the mansion's stonework, the tree-lined allée, and the great lawn give you three distinct looks in one session. Note that the mansion grounds can host events on weekends; we'll check the calendar and time your session so we have the setting to ourselves.
Do you travel to Fox Chapel, or are you South Hills only?
We're based in the South Hills but photograph Fox Chapel, O'Hara, and Aspinwall families regularly — travel is included, no fee. The drive is easy and Hartwood alone is worth it.
What about a session at our home?
Fox Chapel might be the best at-home-session community in Pittsburgh — the wooded lots, stone walls, and gardens photograph like a private estate shoot. Home sessions are also the most comfortable option for young children.
What season do you recommend here?
October at Hartwood or Beechwood Farms is extraordinary, and June evenings on the great lawn are a close second. Spring sessions catch the dogwoods and the meadow's first green.
